BACKGROUND
I am Nobilis was founded by Jack Scott and Melinda Kurniadi after over 20 years working with high profile clients including British Airways, Waitrose, Cambridge Audio, RBS, One & Only, Amore Pacific and many boutique and luxury brands.
Based in London and Suffolk, we are surrounded by innovation, trends and lifestyle brands and having both worked and lived in Europe, Asia, US and Australasia, we have first hand ‘on-ground’ international market experience. Our philosophy is supported by a multi-disciplinary approach born from in-depth luxury consumer understanding, which helps us to deliver responsive 'best-in-class' brands and experiences for our clients.






WHY I AM NOBILIS
Nobilis is latin for Noble.
The inspiration for the creation of I am Nobilis was to be a bastion of hope in a time when branding seems to have lost its way. An era when a toothpaste, a bank or a supermarket seem to look the same. This means branding with values, morality, honesty and striving to deliver without compromise on quality.
It represents our stance, our attitude, our approach.
It is our daily reminder, an affirmation and validation.
DIRECT TO TALENT Unlike an agency, we believe in direct access to talent without the agency price (and overheads). And unlike an agency, your project will not be passed to a lower junior level or play chinese whispers with an account manager with little experience in marketing or design. The projects are worked on by us, the owners. In our experience a ‘small commando’ team of specialists is always more effective than a hoard low rank infantry. BEYOND DESIGN Everything we do is born from our experience. Experience of many sectors, across many disciplines in many countries and our strategic understanding of the customer and changing market. Commercial brand solutions, not in a form of a voluminous and expensive manual that few ever read, but in practice capturing the essence of your brand and help drive your business forward. Many years ago we both started at the bottom, progressing to be global level creative directors in different well-known agencies and companies. Therefore everything is born from our tried and tested experiences with methodologies that have evolved as the world has changed. BUDGET FIRST We believe it is not about selling our clients more but rather what our clients need. Having created our own brands (Atelier, Patch & Scott) we know just how critical budget is and importantly where and how to use it. A lot of clarity comes especially when it is your own money at stake. We apply this principle to all our projects. Our involvement with clients can be large or small at whatever stage you are in your brand’s journey and how we can effectively get the best ‘bang for bucks’ from your budget. As Jack puts it, ‘It can be a weekend in Capri, or a month long Grand Tour of Italy. Both have very different costs but either way they will be memorable experiences.’
